The doodle revolution unbox

Bueno pues ya está aquí. Creo que hacia tiempo que no esperaba con tanta expectativa un libro.  "The doodle revolution"  de Sunni Brown es una pieza completa de principio a fin.  Este libro lo he seguido desde que Sunni me comentó que estaba en ello, y además tengo la suerte de aportar mi granito de arena con unos dibujos. No puedo estar más agradecido.

El libro recorre una visión e invitación al dibujo informal, al de garabatos, al que no necesita ningún ingrediente propio del arte , más allá de una simple manera de representar.
Seis capítulos en 224 páginas en las que Sunni Brown invita a reflexionar , aprender y dibujar. Sobre qué? sobre los proyectos, ideas y sueños. Una manera de visualizar estrategias, y por supuesto conclusiones. 
En los cuatro primeros capítulos, se presenta el porque, el cómo, el cuando y el quién da soporte a estas teorías. Ideales para los escépticos. inventores, presidentes de gobierno y estrategas, científicos etc, se dan cita en esta parte. 

 En los otros restantes, nos habla de como trabar con ello. Desde la experiencia acumulada como facilitadora, y en sus otras publicaciones como su anterior libro "Gamestorming".
 Una de las ideas más interesantes y con la que me siento más identificado es con el infodoodle, en los capítulos cuarto y quinto. Se trata de ver un buen grupo de actividad dibujada de modo individual o colectivo, y las aplicaciones posibles. No solo comunicar, sino investigar y fomentar la claridad de ideas y participación de los grupos. Cada vez que me toca explicar que hacemos los facilitadores visuales me preguntan si es parecido a la típica escena  de juicio americano, en la que un dibujante replica la escena con el acusado, el juez etc...nada mas lejos de la realidad. El infodoodle sería el trabajo visual que conecta palabras, dibujos, flechas y todo el lenguaje visual básico.

El cierre del libro es el manifiesto de la "Doodle Revolution" un movimiento liderado por Sunni Brown que da sentido al libro. Re-posicionar el valor de los dibujos de proceso, aportar valor, compartir experiencia y todo ello en un foro abierto y global.
Recomiendo este libro a todo el que quiera cambiar su modo de hacer las cosas, al que quiera investigar o bien al que sea un escéptico sobre el dibujo. En tiempo de crisis hay que hacer cosas diferentes para no obtener los mismos resultados que alimentan esa crisis.

Well it's here . I expected so much a book like this . "The doodle revolution" Sunni Brown is a whole piece from start to finish . I have followed and wait for this book  since Sunni told me she was at it, and also I am lucky enough to contribute a little bit with one doodle. I can not be more grateful .

The book covers a vision and invitation to the informal drawing, and scribbles, requiring no ingredient of art itself beyond a simple way to represent .
Six chapters in 224 pages that Sunni Brown invites us to reflect , learn and draw. About what?  projects , ideas and dreams and many more. One way to visualize strategies , and of course conclusions.
In the first four chapters, presents the why, the how, the when and the who supports these theories. Ideal for skeptics . Inventors, heads of government and strategists , scientists etc, come together in this part .

 In the other remaining , talks about how to work with it. From the experience as a facilitator , and in its other publications like his previous book " Gamestorming " .
 One of the most interesting ideas and with which I feel is most identified with, is the  infodoodle in the fourth and fifth chapters. It is to see a good group activity drawn individually or collectively , and possible applications. Not only communicate , but to investigate and promote clarity of ideas and group participation .
 Many people ask  me  about what visual facilitators do,  they wanted to know  if is similar to the typical American trial scene , in which an artist replicates the scene with the accused , the judge etc ... nothing could be further from the truth. The visual work would infodoodle connecting words, pictures, arrows and all the basic visual language.

Closing the book is the manifesto of the "Doodle Revolution" a movement led by Sunni Brown who gives meaning to the book. Re - position the value of the drawing process , add value , share experience and all in an open global forum.
I recommend this book to all who want to change their way of doing things, to investigate or want to be a skeptic about the picture. In times of crisis to do different things to not get the same results that feed the crisis.
